    Issues on Immigration: Keeping Communities Safe

    As we are bombarded with news and images of federal immigration actions, and our friends, neighbors and colleagues live in fear, watch this recording of a live event and learn about actions being taken at the local level to assist those directly impacted in this uncertain environment.

    Speakers include:
    James Wood, retired attorney speaking about sanctuary cities.
    Christopher Martinez, Executive Director of the East Bay Spanish Speaking Citizens’ Foundation, an immigrant and refugee advocacy group.
    Alyssa Simpson, Immigration Attorney working with Alameda County Legal Immigration and Education Partnership (ACLIEP). 

    The event was held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at
    Niles Discovery Church
    in Fremont.

    We host student-led registration drives at
    high schools, colleges, and other venues.

    We also help with “Get Out the Vote” efforts to ensure that
    young adults are showing up on Election Day to cast their ballot.
